Itinerary

01 DAY: AREQUIPA - RESERVA NACIONAL DE AGUADA BLANCA Y SALINAS – COLCA TOWNS OF CALLALLI AND SIBAYO – RÍO HORNILLOS – CAYLLOMA – HUANCARAMA - ORCOPAMPA  CHILCAYMARCA

 

06:30 a.m. Passengers pick up from their accommodation. 07:00 a.m. Departure to Caylloma, we will stop at interest places to be able to watch vicuñas, the Colca window, Enchanted castles, village of Sibayo, Mismi mountain, alpacas, Coropuna volcano. We will be always accompanied by the guide. We will offer the group a snack during the tour.

 

Accommodation: Hotel Turista de Chilcaymarca. For dinner the passenger will choose between restaurants in Orcopampa, the transportation will be available for the transfers.

 

02 DAY: CHILCAYMARCA – PANAHUA - TINTAYMARCA – MISAHUANCA – HUANCARAMA – ORCOPAMPA – ANDAGUA – CHILCAYMARCA

 

08:00 a.m. We start on the highlands of the Volcanoes Valley. Panahua: We will visit the Quebrada de Panahua with frozen waterfalls. Misahuanca: It is a traditional village with a small colonial bridge, church and water mills built by the spanish. Tintaymarca: Visit to the Church. Huancarama: Hot springs, if the group want this visit could be rescheduled at 6:00 p.m.

 

Orcopampa: Comercial center and most important mining are. Time for lunch.

 

12:00 p.m. In our way to Andagua we will pass by Chapacoco – Puca Mauras, a picturesque village known by their homes and potters.

 

2:00 pm Arrival to Andagua. We will visit the main square with the Church and peculiar cypress trees pruned like shapes of animals and objects, also, from the bullring, we will have a view of the characteristic Twins volcanos. Leaving Andagua we will hike to the ruins of Antaymarca then visit the Kallana-Mauras volcano where the village has implemented a bullring on the crater

 

5:00 PM Return to Chilcaymarca. Optional 6:00 pm: Visit the hot springs of Huancarama

 

Accommodation: Hotel Turista de Chilcaymarca. For dinner the passenger will choose between restaurants in Orcopampa.

 

03 DAY: CHILCAYMARCA - AYO - CHACHAS – CHILCAYMARCA:

 

Departure to lake Mamacocha with a stop at the viewpoint Ucuya where we have a view of the volcanoes Jechapita and Chilcayoc, the lava creeks, Chachas lagoon, the mountain chain of Chila.

 

Departure to Ayo.

 

Laguna Mamacocha - Ayo (Optional walk of 45 min), it is a special Oasis Interandean at 1,700 m., with vegetation dominated by willows, pepper trees, reeds and fig trees. The lagoon is the habitat of a rare species of otters (huallaques).

 

12:30 p.m. continue the journey to the Colca Canyon (Highway to Tingo). As long as we are with time.

 

1:00 p.m. Lunch at Ayo and after we will visit the town.

 

2:20 pm: Continue the journey to the village of Chachas by the road of Sucna.

 

3:20 pm: Chachas, we will visit the Renaissance Church and contemplate the landscape of the laguna and its terraces.

 

4:00 pm: Return to Chilcaymarca through the Andagua road we will stop to visit the waterfall Challahuire.

 

5:30 pm: Arrive to Chilcaymarca.

 

Overnight at Chilcaymarca Hotel. For dinner the passenger will choose between restaurants in Orcopampa

 

04 DAY: BACK TO AREQUIPA: ANDAGUA – ABRA DEL COROPUNA – VIRACO – TIPÁN – VALLE DE MAJES – VALLE DE VITOR Y SIGUAS – AREQUIPA.

 

7:00 a.m. Departure to Arequipa through the Majes Valley

 

We will enjoy the view of Coropuna volcano, guanacos, down town Viraco, Tipan, Ongoro -Valle Majes

 

Time for lunch, at this place “Punta Colorada Corire” the restaurants are famous because of its meals based on shrimps.

 

Arrive to Arequipa at 6:30 pm.
