This tour offers a visit to the Pre Inca community of Pikillacta and the colonial population of Andahuaylillas.
- We will begin the tour with a pick up from your hotel and transfer 30km south of the city to the place known as Pikillacta, considered to be a Pre Incan archaeological group. You can still see the old narrow city streets as they have been conserved surprisingly well.
- En route to Andahuaylillas you can see the imposing entrance of Rumicolca, which was before used as the obligatory main entrance to the valley of the Cusco.
- In the pueblo of Andahuaylillas, we will visit their famous Church, which is considered to be like the Sistine Chapel of South America. On the inside one can see some of the most beautiful examples of the colonial art with its golden altars and murals, pictures and intricate ceilings.
- During the drive, we will pass by the towns of San Sebastián, San Jerónimo, Saylla and Oropesa, traditional towns that are famous for their delicious breads and fried pig.
- On the way back to Cusco again we can eat a delicious plate of typical chicharrones (fried pork) from Saylla, which is well known for their chicharrones (Optional).
