PM: Guided tour of the city and nearby ruins, where the Plaza de Armas or Plaza Aucaypata stand out ("Plaza del Guerrero"); where we will appreciate The Cathedral and the Church of ¨La Compañía¨.

Next, we will visit the Santo Domingo Convent, famous for being erected over the Koricancha, the main religious building of the Incas, dedicated to the cult of the Sun and whose interior walls, according to the chroniclers, were covered by gold plates. This temple served as a shelter for the different deities brought from other regions and mummies of rulers.

We continue with our Excursion to the Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, military construction of the Incas. Located on a hill that dominates Cusco, this fortress that protected the capital of Cusco, is famous for its enormous carved rocks, united with an amazing precision.

Finally, we headed to two places of ritual architecture such as Quenco and Tambomachay, places where the Incas practiced cults, around an intricate network of platforms, niches and pools that to date continue to pour water from springs from the heights.

Culminating our visit we return to the city of Cusco.

Sacred Valley

AM: Sacred Valley of the Incas. This beautiful valley is composed of numerous rivers that descend by gorges and small valleys. In its route you can visit two of the best Inca architectural remains that the valley houses.

Ruins of Pisaq, impressive construction built in the period of the height of the Inca Empire. Here we can observe the great work accomplished by the Incas, through an endless number of agricultural terraces that adorn virtually all the mountains around them. In the center of the temple of Pisaq, we can observe an intiwatana (solar clock) and fine buildings inhabited by the Inca nobility 500 years ago.

After our visit to this Inca citadel, we will visit the modern town of Pisaq, which is located on the right bank of the Urubamba River, and is populated almost entirely by the descendants of the Incas. Here we will visit a picturesque craft market, and we can see how until today the people of this place maintain the tradition of exchanging their things or food, just as they did in the past. Then we will have lunch in Urubamba Town. Later we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the beautiful fortress that bears the same name. Here we go through the most important sectors. The walk to the top of Ollantaytambo is a bit steep. Once the guided tour in Ollantaytambo is over, we will return to the city of Cusco.

In the morning, transfer to the train station of Cusco (Poroy) for a trip of three hours to the Citadel of Machu Picchu known as "The Lost City of the Incas" get off the train at Aguas Calientes station to take the bus It will take us on a 30-minute journey along a zigzag path to the wonderful citadel.
